If you are interested in learning to row, contact one of our club representatives and organize a meeting time down at the boat shed.

You don't have to commit to a membership immediately. A coach or mentor will give you your first couple of introductory sessions; if you like it, we will ask you to commit to a learning program of around 6 weeks and to pay a non-refundable fee of $100, which is deducted from your membership fees if you then decide to become a full member.

PMRC Sydney World Masters Team

You may choose to pay your membership fee in 2 instalments if you wish.

why row?

There are several good reasons for taking up the sport of rowing, whether you're a junior or a master. Here are just a few:

  • Health & Fitness
  • Rowing promotes aerobic fitness, balance, flexibility and development of all major muscle groups.

  • Balanced Lifestyle
  • Rowing stimulates the balance centres that we tend to neglect with age.

  • Teamwork
  • Rowing competently in a crew requires precision - and diplomacy! It is challenging and rewarding in equal measure.

  • Zero Impact
  • Rowing is a non-weightbearing, non-impact sport - that's why people in their 80's and 90's are still competing!

  • Zero Carbon Footprint
  • Rowing is all human powered. Greenhouse gases at a minimum!

  • Mental Challenge
  • Good rowing technique takes a lot of mental discipline!
