| SITUATION. Crews are in the Starters control for a Masters Four + race between crews from C, D and E categories. Conditions at the start are windy and rough, the regatta is running behind schedule. The Starter has an Assistant Starter, the Umpire's boat is in good position and includes a Timekeeper and Driver. |
| BUT: All crews start on the "GO" instruction, not as per their handicap of:
The C crew crosses the line 8 seconds from D and 14 seconds from E. The E crew makes a protest to the Umpire at the end of the race. |
