The requirements to become
a boat race official with NSWRA and CDRA are:
- become competent with the duties, or some of the duties
of a BRO by gaining skills and experience at regattas. This status is called
a TRAINEE BRO and is registered with NSWRA and CDRA.
- demonstrating competence in BRO duties.
- learning and keeping up to date with the Laws of Boat
Racing.
As the confidence and skill of the TRAINEE is demonstrated,
status is upgraded to LEVEL 1 BRO Licence in each area of duty.
REMEMBER:
- Enjoying the company and friendship of fellow BROs',
competitors and the rowing community is a must.
NOTE:
- The LEVEL 2 BRO Licence is granted to a person who becomes
competent with BRO duties at the Sydney International Rowing Centre (SIRC).
- To maintain status, the licence holder is required to
keep up to date by attending a number of regattas.
