Step 3 - End of Power Application - Arms = Speed

Points to note
Exercise
  • Boat passes blade placement.
  • HANDS move in straight line parallel to water.
  • Hand grip - no tension.
  • Leg drive is assisted by addition of body engagement.
  • Body engagement assisted by shoulder - arm engagement.
  1. From the body/from the back strokes (max 15/20 per set)
  2. 0.5 - 0.75 strokes as start position.
  3. Check blade depth by "touching exercises'.


Take time between exercises.


The power supplied by back - shoulders and arms covers approx. 15 degrees forward - to 15 degrees behind hip position. Hip being pivot.
